Live and kicking Grass Roots Football
The Grass Roots Football LIVE event takes place from Friday 30 May to Sunday 1 June, at the NEC in Birmingham with Kick It Out present all weekend. The latter will host three sessions which aim to help black, Asian and other minority communities progress within the game. The Kick It Out individual seminars include:
Asians in football, on Saturday 31st May
-A panel featuring Piara Powar, Butch Fazel and Pav Singh will discuss the issue of under-representation of the Asian community in the professional game.
Kick It Out Masterclass, on Sunday 1st June
-UEFA coaches Colin King and Butch Fazal will oversee a practical session from the players of Leamington Kalsa and Luton United Under 10's.
Coaching and Management Opportunities in BME Communities, on Sunday 1st June
-A panel that includes Brendan Batson, Colin King and Piara Powar will debate issues involving coaches and managers and the opportunities for involvement at all levels of the game
Grass Roots Football LIVE will also bring together seasoned coaching talent in the form of Graham Taylor and Harry Redknapp, and anyone with even a passing interest in football will be thoroughly entertained by the vast array of conferences, seminars and practical sessions.
